“Faith is what makes life bearable with its tragedies and ambiguities and sudden, startling joys.”

-Madeleine L’Engle

Hello and welcome to The Daily Cross! This is a space for me to share my thoughts and experiences of my Catholic faith, which is quite simply my entire reason for living. Our faith as Catholic Christians should be our motivation in life. It is through faith that we find peace in the conflict, joy in the sorrow, perseverance in the battle, and hope in the darkness of this world. What would we be without our faith? Would anything matter in the same way that it does when we live for Christ who died for us?

Life is hard. It always has been and always will be. But it is possible and beautiful because of our faith. Jesus died for us on the cross. Because He loved us, He picked up the cross and carried it until His death. If we are to truly follow in His footsteps, we must do the same. Our crosses can be found in every step of our journey. We need only to recognize them and then pick them up and stumble after our Lord on the road to Calvary. It seems impossible alone, but with faith it becomes more than possible. Picking up our crosses becomes our destiny. So, we are inevitably going to suffer. We are going to weep and we are going to fall. But so did Jesus. Yet He kept walking, and now He waits for us in Paradise.
